The Great Down Under nappy Hunt
Nappies Covered is open again. The move was huge and I am still unpacking at this end, but at least the dreaded moving bit is over. As I am still unpacking the store contents I won't be able to start posting parcels until the 10-12th of March. I will try to get through it quicker and post sooner, but a lot depends on how the children behave :) The store will re-open for orders on the 1st of March (please note delay in posting of items), just in time for the Great Down Under Nappy Hunt. Have you registered yet? If you register for the hunt and use the code¹ emailed to you after registering² you will get 10% off purchases at Nappies Covered for the month of March (does not include gift vouchers or postage). WOW! ¹Code is to be entered upon checkout at Nappies Covered in 'coupon' box. ² See below to register. The Great Down Under Nappy Hunt It’s that time again! We are proud to announce Hunter registrations are open for the fourth semi-annual Great Down Under Nappy Hunt™! How does the GDUNH work? It’s simple! You register at http://www.diaperdecisions.com/pages/greatnappyhunt.php now. Then you visit all the participating sponsor sites and hunt for the Diaper Decisions™ nappy, to earn entries to the 47 random prize drawings, including Three Grand Prizes! Prices are worth in excess of $4000. For more details about this great event, please visit the Rules and FAQ pages at http://www.diaperdecisions.com/pages/greatnappyhunt.php . See you at the hunt! If you get stuck whilst hunting, please visit the official Hint Forum http://www.diaperdecisions.com/forum2/index.php?board=26.0 and ask for help. Sponsors will not be giving out hints however in the first few days of the hunt. Remember it is a competition. Posting of hints and help on other forums will be construed as cheating, and you may be banned from this and further hunts. | |||
What's New at Nappies Covered? You may have noticed a new look to the store (that's our daughter Summer as the new store logo ). I decided to create a less - busy - look and to make finding the products you need easier. Items are now listed pertaining to fabric use or product type. I hope that you find the store easier to navigate as I understand how hard it is to shop with a wriggly baby on lap and toddler pulling at your hand that is trying to use the mouse! Thank you, you have given me two extra days :)

Closed - but only for a little while.
Yes, we are closed, but not for too long :) Re-Opening on the 1st of March 2008.
As you can imagine trying to pack up orders and pack the fabric up to be moved just can't work, so come the 7th of February, every single item in my store will be packed up and ready for the move. Closing today gives me just enough time to finish up the outstanding orders before the mammoth task of packing it all!
I have come to the conclusion that I need either a Road Train, The Ghan, or perhaps my own fleet of Fed Ex trucks to move all the fabric I have here.
If anyone has a spare Road Train, or Ghan sitting around let me know :)
Those of you addicted to nappy making, please take it easy for the next month, rest those sewing machines, put your feet up and get ready for the -

The move from farm life to city life.
I thought it was time to get into gear and start a blog. The cloth nappy world is full of blogs, so here I am joining in the fun!
This blog is to keep you up to date with the goings on at Nappies Covered, the thrills and excitement of what it is like being a Work At Home Mum of a busy business, a mum to four children and wife to a farmer.
Keep checking back for the unfolding story of our new life - from farm to city (well it's the city for us!).
From this ->
To this ---->
I will miss the red earth contrasting with the beautiful blue sky, but I won't miss the dust!
I will miss the quietness - that quietness of nothing but sounds of nature.
I will miss the beautiful night sky - it's really amazing you can see all the stars so clearly out here.
I will miss being surrounded by nothing and no one for kilometres, the kangaroos on our doorstep, the morning wake up call from the huge flocks of galahs.
I won't miss the snakes and the lack of rain. Oh and did I mention -
I won't miss the dust!
